Mukhtasar Muslim (Abridged) 983 — Do not bequeath more than one-third

`Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that` I wish people would make bequests of less than a third, a quarter, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted concession for a third and said that a third is also much (too much).
