Mukhtasar Muslim (Abridged) 940 — Prohibition of najash

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade najsh (i.e., artificially raising the price without the intention of buying, only to increase the price).
