Mukhtasar Muslim (Abridged) 1863 — About writing other than the Quran

Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub and Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with them) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever narrates a hadith from me and thinks that it is a lie, then he himself is a liar.
