Mukhtasar Muslim (Abridged) 1493 — Omen may be in house, woman

Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: If (misfortune) is in anything, then it is in the house, the servant, and the horse.

The hadith of Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Hakam al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding this chapter has already been mentioned in the Book of Prayer (see Hadith: 333).
