Deeds done purely for Allah’s pleasure

Narrated from Sayyiduna Utban bin Malik Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says 'La ilaha illallah' purely for the sake of Allah, then on the Day of Resurrection, the fire of Hell will be forbidden for him."

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: 'When I take away a beloved thing of a believing servant from the world (such as a son, brother, etc.) and he remains patient over it, then his reward with Me is nothing except Paradise (that is, he will be granted Paradise).'"
