Mukhtasar Bukhari (Abridged) 1856 — It is permissible to hold a Walima

Lady Safiyyah bint Shaybah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the wedding feast (walimah) for some of his wives with two mudd of barley.
