Mukhtasar Bukhari (Abridged) 148 — Performing ablution and bath

´Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the time for prayer came, the person whose house was nearby went (to his house to perform ablution), and a few people remained. Then a stone vessel (container) was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in which there was water, and the vessel was not spacious enough for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to spread his palm in it. So all the people performed ablution (with that small amount of water). (The narrator Humayd says) We asked (Anas, may Allah be pleased with him), how many people were you (at that time)? He said, eighty or even more than eighty.
