حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ الْقَاضِي، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شَبِيبُ بْنُ غَرْقَدَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي جَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ قُحَافَةَ، قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " يَا أُمَّتَاهُ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُكُمْ؟، قَالَ: فَقَالَ بُنَيٌّ لَهَا: يَا أُمَّهْ مَا لَهُ يَدْعُو أُمَّهُ؟ قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا بُنَيُّ إِنَّمَا يَعْنِي أُمَّتَهُ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «أَلَا إِنَّ أَعْرَاضَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَدِمَاءَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا»
Sayyidah Jamrah bint Quhafah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was with the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), during the Farewell Hajj, and I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O my Ummah, have I conveyed (the religion) to you?" At this, a little son of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Mother, what is the matter with him that he is calling his mother? Jamrah said: I said: My son, he (peace and blessings be upon him) means his Ummah. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "Listen! Your honour, your wealth and your blood are sacred to you, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this city of yours, in this month of yours."
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شَبِيبُ بْنُ غَرْقَدَةَ، عَنْ جَمْرَةِ بِنْتِ قُحَافَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: تَصَدَّقْنَ وَلَوْ مِنْ حُلِيِّكُنَّ فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَأَتَتْ زَيْنَبُ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ زَوْجِي مُحْتَاجٌ فَهَلْ يَجُوزُ لِي أَنْ أَعُودَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ لَكِ أَجْرَانِ»
Sayyidah Jamrah bint Quhafah (may Allah be pleased with her) heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say during the Farewell Hajj: "Give charity, even if it is from your jewellery, for you women are the majority of the people of Hell." Then Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) came and said: O Messenger of Allah, my husband is in need; may I spend on him? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, you will have a double reward."
