حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ غُسْلٌ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ» .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it necessary for a woman to take a ritual bath (ghusl) when she has a wet dream?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, when she sees a trace of the fluid."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ مِثْلَهُ
A hadith like it is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: هَلْ لِي مِنْ أَجْرٍ فِي بَنِي أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، فَإِنِّي أُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَسْتُ شَارَكْتُهُمْ؟، قَالَ: «نَعَمْ لَكِ أَجْرُ مَا أَنْفَقْتِ عَلَيْهِمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Will I receive a reward for spending on the children of Abu Salamah, when I spend on them while they do not share in my own offspring?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, you will receive a reward for what you spend on them."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدِي مُخَنَّثٌ، فَسَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ: يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ إِنْ فَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمُ الطَّائِفَ غَدًا فَعَلَيْكَ بِابْنَةِ غَيْلَانَ، فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبِلُ بِأَرْبَعٍ، وَتُدْبِرُ بِثَمَانٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَدْخُلْ هَؤُلَاءِ عَلَيْكُمْ»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me while there was an effeminate man (a man with feminine traits) with me, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) heard him saying to Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah: "O Abdullah, if Allah Almighty conquers Ta'if for you tomorrow, then be sure to take the daughter of Ghaylan, for when she comes facing you she comes with four (folds), and when she turns away she goes with eight (folds)." On hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let these (people like this) not enter upon you."
حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَإِنَّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ إِلَيَّ، وَلَعَلَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ، فَأَقْضِي لَهُ عَلَى مَا أَسْمَعُ، فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ بِشَيْءٍ فَلَا يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا، فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنَ النَّارِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am only a human being, and you bring your disputes to me. Perhaps one of you is more eloquent in presenting his argument than another, so I judge according to what I hear. So if I grant someone something of his brother's right, let him not take any of it, for in fact I have given him a piece of the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تُوَافِيَ مَعَهُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِمَكَّةَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to be present with him (peace and blessings be upon him) in Makkah on the Day of Sacrifice.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: أَيُجْزِئُنِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ عَلَى زَوْجِي وَهُوَ فَقِيرٌ، وَعَلَى بَنِي أَخٍ لِي أَيْتَامٍ وَأَنَا مُنْفِقَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ؟، فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ» وَكَانَتْ صَنَاعَ الْيَدَيْنِ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered (people) to give charity, so Sayyidah Zaynab, the wife of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both), said: "Will I receive the reward of charity if I give charity to my husband, who is poor, and to my orphaned nephews, on whom I spend in any case?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." And she was skilled in handicraft.
