حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا حَضَرْتُمُ الْمَيِّتَ، فَقُولُوا خَيْرًا، فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are present with a dying or deceased person, say what is good, for the angels say Amin to what you say."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أُصِيبَ أَحَدُكُمْ بِمُصِيبَةٍ، فَلْيَقُلْ: اللهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَعْقِبْنِي خَيْرًا بِهَا "، فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ يَعْقُبُنِي اللهُ بَعْدَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: فَأَعْقَبَنِي اللهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a calamity befalls one of you, let him say: O Allah, reward me in my calamity and give me something better in its place." She said: Then when Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) died, I said: "Who will Allah give me in place of Abu Salamah that is better?" She said: Then Allah Almighty gave me in his place one better than him: Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ، ثنا يَحْيَى، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي مَنْ لَنْ يَرَانِي بَعْدَ أَنْ أُفَارِقَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Among my Companions are some who will never see me after I part from them."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ الْحَنَّاطُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ: «قُولِي اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنِي مِنْهُ عُقْبَى نَافِعَةٌ» ، فَقُلْتُهَا، فَأَعْقَبَنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) died, I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what should I say?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: O Allah, forgive him and grant me after him a beneficial replacement." She said: So I said it, and Allah granted me the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in his place.
