حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ فَسَقَتْهُ سَوِيقًا، ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: تَوَضَّأْ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْهُ النَّارُ»
Abu Sufyan bin Sa'id bin al-Akhnas (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that he went to Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she gave him sawiq (barley mash) to drink. Then he stood up to pray, and she said: O my nephew, perform ablution (wudu), for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Perform ablution from whatever the fire has touched."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ablution from whatever the fire has touched."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْأمامي، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ablution from whatever the fire has touched."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الْوُضُوءُ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»
Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Ablution is to be performed from whatever the fire has touched."
