حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا عَاصِمُ ابْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ: " يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ: الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast three days of the month: Monday, Thursday, and the Monday of the following week.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ: «يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْإِثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْمُقْبِلَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast Monday, Thursday, and the Monday of the following week.
