حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنَبْتَدِئُ الْأَعْمَالَ أَمْ قَدْ قُضِيَ الْقَضَاءُ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ أَخَذَ ذُرِّيَّةَ آدَمَ مِنْ ظَهْرِهِ، ثُمَّ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمِ، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ بِهِمْ فِي كِفَّةٍ، فَقَالَ: هَؤُلَاءِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ فِي النَّارِ، فَأَهَلُّ الْجَنَّةِ مُيَسَّرُونَ لِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ مُيَسَّرُونَ لِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we begin our deeds anew, or has the decree already been written? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty brought forth the offspring of Adam (peace be upon him) from his back, then made them bear witness over themselves, then placed them in a scale-pan and said: 'These are in Paradise and these are in Hell.' So for the people of Paradise the deeds of the people of Paradise have been made easy, and for the people of Hell the deeds of the people of Hell have been made easy."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنْبَتَدِئُ الْأَعْمَالَ أَوْ قَدْ قُضِيَ الْقَضَاءُ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ أَخَذَ ذُرِّيَّةَ آدَمَ مِنْ ظَهْرِهِ، ثُمَّ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: بَلَى، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ فِي كِفَّةٍ فَقَالَ: هَؤُلَاءِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ فِي النَّارِ، أَمَا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَمُيَسَّرُونَ لِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ فَمُيَسَّرُونَ لِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: دَخَلَ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ عَلَى عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ بِالشَّامِ، وَكَانَ عَامِلًا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهُ نَاسًا مِنَ النَّبَطِ مُشَمَّسِينَ، فَقَالَ: مَا بَالُ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ قَالَ: حَبَسَتْهُمْ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ. فَقَالَ هِشَامٌ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ الَّذِي يُعَذَّبُ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُعَذِّبُهُ اللهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ» ، فَخَلَّى عَنْهُمْ عُمَيْرٌ وَتَرَكَهُمْ
Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Sayyiduna Umayr bin Sa'd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) in Syria, who was a governor appointed by Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and he saw that some people of the Nabataeans had been made to stand in the sun in his presence. He asked: What is the matter with these people? He said: I have detained them for payment of the jizyah. Hisham said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever torments people in this world, Allah will torment him in the Hereafter." So Umayr let them go and released them.
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ اللهَ يُعَذَّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Allah Almighty will torment on the Day of Resurrection those who torment people in this world."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدَةَ ابْنِ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ: أَنَّ عِيَاضَ بْنَ غَنْمٍ، وهِشَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، مَرَّا بِعَامِلِ حِمْصَ وَقَدْ شَمَّسَ أَنْبَاطًا فِي الشَّمْسِ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْعَامِلِ: مَا هَذَا يَا فُلَانُ؟ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ اللهَ يُعَذَّبُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Sayyiduna Iyad bin Ghanm and Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by the governor of Hims, who had made some Nabataean people stand in the sun. One of them said to the governor: O so-and-so! What is this? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Allah Almighty will torment those who torment people in this world."
حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْهِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ: أَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، وَجَدَ عِيَاضَ بْنَ غَنْمٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِمْصَ شَمَّسَ نَاسًا مِنَ النَّبَطِ فِي أَدَاءِ الْجِزْيَةِ فَقَالَ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ: مَا هَذَا يَا عِيَاضُ؟ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ اللهَ يُعَذَّبُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذَّبُونَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna Hisham bin Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) saw that Iyad bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the governor of Hims, had made some Nabataean people stand in the sun in connection with the payment of the jizyah. So Hisham bin Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Iyad! What is this? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Allah Almighty will torment those who torment people in this world."
