حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السِّرَارُ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ قَالَا , ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ، ثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الطَّائِفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي هُنَيْدَةُ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ قَالَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever attributes to me something I did not say, let him take his seat in the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ، وَوَرْدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قَالَا , ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ، ثَنَا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثَنَا دُحَيْمٌ، قَالَا , ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا إِدْرِيسٍ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَأَلْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مَا حَضَر مِنْ رَسُولِ الله صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَبُوكَ فَقَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ "
Abu Idris al-Khawlani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) about what took place with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Tabuk, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the expedition of Tabuk, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over his leather socks.
