حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ الْأَذَنِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعُ، ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي مَرْوَانُ بْنُ رُؤْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ الْجُرَشِيِّ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ ضَافَ قَوْمًا فَلَمْ يَقْرُوهُ، فَإِنَّ لَهُ أَنْ يَطْلُبَهُمْ بِمِثْلِ قِرَاهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any man who stays as a guest with a people and they do not host him, he has the right to take from them the equivalent of his hospitality."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ نَزَلَ بِقَوْمٍ فَعَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَقْرُوهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَقْرُوهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ أَنْ يُعَاقِبَهُمْ بِمِثْلِ قِرَاهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever stops with a people, it is upon them to host him; and if they do not host him, he has the right to take from them the equivalent of his hospitality."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ رُؤْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ الْجُرَشِيِّ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أُوتِيتُ الْكِتَابَ وَمَا يَعْدِلُهُ، يُوشِكُ شَبْعَانٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يَقُولُ: بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ هَذَا الْكِتَابُ، فَمَا كَانَ فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ أَحْلَلْنَاهُ، وَمَا كَانَ فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ حَرَّمْنَاهُ، أَلَا وَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ، لَا يَحِلُّ ذُو نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ، وَلَا الْحُمُرُ الْأَهْلِيَّةُ، وَلَا اللُّقَطَةُ مِنَ الْمُعَاهِدِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَغْنِيَ عَنْهَا، وَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ ضَافَ قَوْمًا وَلَمْ يَقْرُوهُ فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَغْصِبَهُمْ بِمِثْلِ قِرَاهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given the Book and something equal to it along with it. Soon a man with a full stomach, sitting on his couch, will say: 'This Book alone is sufficient between us and you; whatever is lawful in it we will treat as lawful, and whatever is unlawful in it we will treat as unlawful.' Beware, the matter is not like that. The meat of every predatory animal with fangs is not lawful, nor that of the domestic donkey, nor the lost property of one under covenant (mu'ahid), unless he has no need of it. And any man who stays as a guest with a people and they do not host him, he has the right to take from them by force the equivalent of his hospitality."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَا: ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُوتِيتُ الْكِتَابَ وَمِثْلَهُ، أَلَا يُوشِكُ شَبْعَانٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يَقُولُ: عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ، فَمَا وَجَدْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ فَأَحِلُّوهُ، وَمَا وَجَدْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ فَحَرِّمُوهُ، أَلَا لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمُ الْحِمَارُ الْأَهْلِيُّ، وَلَا كُلُّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ، وَلَا لُقَطَةُ مُعَاهَدٍ إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَغْنِيَ عَنْهَا صَاحِبُهَا، وَمَنْ نَزَلَ بِقَوْمٍ فَعَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَقْرُوهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given the Book and something like it along with it. Beware, soon a man with a full stomach, sitting on his couch, will say: 'Hold fast to the Qur'an alone; whatever you find lawful in it, treat as lawful, and whatever you find unlawful in it, treat as unlawful.' Listen! The domestic donkey is not lawful for you, nor any predatory animal with fangs, nor the lost property of one under covenant (mu'ahid), unless its owner has no need of it. And whoever stops with a people, it is upon them to host him."
