حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَنُوبِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمَدِينَةُ مُهَاجِرِي وَمَضْجَعِي فِي الْأَرْضِ، حَقٌّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي أَنْ يُكْرِمُوا جِيرَانِي مَا اجْتَنِبُوا الْكَبَائِرَ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ سَقَاهُ اللهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ» قُلْنَا: يَا أَبَا يَسَارٍ، مَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ: «عُصَارَةُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ»
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Madinah is the place of my emigration and my resting place in the earth. It is a duty upon my Ummah to honour my neighbours (the people of Madinah) as long as they avoid the major sins. Whoever of them does not do so, Allah Almighty will give him to drink from 'Tinat al-Khabal'." We said: O Abu Yasar! What is Tinat al-Khabal? He said: "It is the squeezed-out discharge of the people of Hell."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَنُوبِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ، تَتَكَافَأُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ، لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ، وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ»
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Muslims are one hand against those other than them; their blood is equal to one another's. A believer is not to be killed in retaliation for a disbeliever, nor one under a covenant during the term of his covenant."
