أبو عبد الله الجدلي، واسمه معبد بن معبد، وقيل: عبد بن عبد، وقيل: عبد الرحمن بن عبد، عن معاوية رضي الله عنه
Abu Abdullah al-Jadali, whose name was Ma'bad bin Ma'bad, and some say Abd bin Abd, and some say Abd al-Rahman bin Abd, from Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ، ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»
Abd bin Abd (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine, beat him; if he drinks again, beat him again; then if he drinks again, kill him."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْجَدَلِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، ثَلَاثًا، فَإِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ»
Abd al-Rahman bin Abd al-Jadali (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks wine, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him, three times; then if he drinks a fourth time, strike his neck."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْجَدَلِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ»
Ma'bad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abd al-Jadali (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks wine, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; then if he drinks a fourth time, strike his neck."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا حَكَّامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ، فَإِنْ رَبَّعَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»
Abd al-Rahman bin Abd (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; if he drinks again, flog him; then if he repeats it a fourth time, kill him."
