حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْعَبْدَسِيُّ، ثنا فُدَيْكُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَبَّرَ تَكْبِيرَةً عِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ عَلَى سَاحِلِ الْبَحْرِ رَافِعًا صَوْتَهُ، أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ قَطْرَةٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ عَشَرَ حَسَنَاتٍ، وَمَحَا عَنْهُ عَشَرَ سَيِّئَاتٍ، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ عَشَرَ دَرَجَاتٍ، مَا بَيْنَ الدَّرَجَتَيْنِ مَسِيرَةُ مِائَةِ عَامٍ بِالْفَرَسِ الْمُسْرِعِ»
Sayyiduna Qurrah bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says a single takbir in a raised voice on the seashore at sunset, Allah Almighty will grant him as reward ten good deeds for every single drop in the sea, will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten degrees, between every two of which is a distance of a hundred years' journey on a swift horse."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وُهَيْبٍ الْغَزِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيُّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، وَكَانَ إِمَامَنَا بِعَسْقَلَانَ مَاتَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِينَ وَمِائَةٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي قُرَّةَ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ الْحَيَاءُ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الدِّينِ؟، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بَلْ هُوَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ»
ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْعِيَّ عِيُّ اللِّسَانِ لَا عِيَّ الْقَلْبِ، وَالْعَمَلَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ، وَإِنَّهُنَّ يَزِدْنَ فِيِ الْآخِرَةِ وَيُنْقِصْنَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، وَلَمَا يَزِدْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا يُنْقِصْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، فَإِنَّ الشُّحَّ، وَالْبَذَاءَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ، وَإِنَّهُنَّ يَزِدْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيُنْقِصْنَ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ، وَلَمَا يُنْقِصْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا يَزِدْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْعِيَّ عِيُّ اللِّسَانِ لَا عِيَّ الْقَلْبِ، وَالْعَمَلَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ، وَإِنَّهُنَّ يَزِدْنَ فِيِ الْآخِرَةِ وَيُنْقِصْنَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، وَلَمَا يَزِدْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا يُنْقِصْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، فَإِنَّ الشُّحَّ، وَالْبَذَاءَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ، وَإِنَّهُنَّ يَزِدْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيُنْقِصْنَ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ، وَلَمَا يُنْقِصْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا يَزِدْنَ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna Qurrah bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when modesty (haya) was mentioned in his (peace and blessings be upon him) presence. The people said: O Messenger of Allah! Is modesty part of the religion? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, it is the whole of the religion."
Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, modesty, chastity, and reticence of speech, which is a shortcoming of the tongue, not a shortcoming of the heart, and (good) deeds are all part of faith. They increase (a person) in the Hereafter and decrease (him) in this world, and what they increase in the Hereafter is far greater than what they decrease in this world. And miserliness and foul speech are part of hypocrisy; they increase (a person) in this world and decrease (him) in the Hereafter, and what they decrease in the Hereafter is far greater than what they increase in this world."
Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, modesty, chastity, and reticence of speech, which is a shortcoming of the tongue, not a shortcoming of the heart, and (good) deeds are all part of faith.
