Hammam bin al-Harith (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) led the prayer in al-Mada'in on a raised platform (standing on it), and Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr (Abu Mas'ud) (may Allah be pleased with him) was praying behind him. Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) took hold of his garment and pulled him until he moved back, then he himself stood up. When the prayer was finished he said: Is this not the thing that you remember and that was forbidden? He said: Yes indeed, I remembered it.
