حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا هِشَامُ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: «أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَوَسَطِهِ وَآخِرِهِ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed witr sometimes at the beginning of the night, sometimes in the middle, and sometimes at the end.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُوتَرُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَآخِرَهُ وَأَوْسَطَهُ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr Abu Mas'ud al-Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray witr at the beginning, the end and the middle of the night.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رُسْتَه الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ زُفَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَأَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ أَحْيَانًا أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَوَسَطَهُ، لِيَكُونَ سَعَةً لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr and Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with them both) both said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray witr sometimes at the beginning of the night and sometimes in the middle, so that there would be latitude for the Muslims.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَيْشُونَ، ثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَوْسَطَهُ وَآخِرَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray witr at the beginning, the middle and the end of the night.
