Sayyiduna Aqil bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Quraysh came to Abu Talib and said: "Your nephew harms us in our gathering place and in our assembly, so stop him from harming us." Abu Talib said to me: "O Aqil, bring Muhammad ((peace and blessings be upon him))." So I went to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and brought him out of a "kibs" (Talhah said: meaning a small house). He (peace and blessings be upon him) came at midday in intense heat, and because of the fierce heat of the scorching ground he began seeking out the shade and walking in it. Then we reached those people, and Abu Talib said (to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)): "Your cousins claim that you harm them in their assemblies and gathering places, so desist from that." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his gaze towards the sky and said: "Do you see this sun?" They said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am no more able to abandon this than you are able to light a flame from it." Abu Talib said: "My nephew has never once lied to us, so go back."
