حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ وَاهِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُصَلِّ أَحَدُكُمْ وَثَوْبُهُ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ خَطْمُ الشَّيْطَانِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should pray while his garment is over his nose, for that is the nose-rein of Satan."
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ وَثِيمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى، قَالَ: ثنا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ وَاهِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَطْعَمَ أَخَاهُ حَتَّى يُشْبِعَهُ، وَسَقَاهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَرْوِيَهُ، بَاعَدَهُ اللهُ مِنَ النَّارِ سَبْعَ خَنَادِقَ، مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ خَنْدَقٍ مَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مئةِ عَامٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever feeds his brother until he is full and gives him water to drink until his thirst is quenched, Allah will keep him away from Hell by seven trenches, between each trench a distance of five hundred years' journey."
