حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَبُو حَبِيبٍ، قَالَ: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ تُحِسُّ بِالْوَحْيِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ أَسْمَعُ صَلَاصِلَ، ثُمَّ أَسْتَتِبُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ، وَمَا مِنْ مَرَّةٍ يُوحَى إِلَي، إِلَّا ظَنَنْتُ أَنْ نَفْسِي تَفِيضُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I said: O Messenger of Allah, do you feel the revelation? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, I hear a sound like the ringing of bells, then at that time I become silent; and whenever revelation is sent down to me, I feel as if my soul is about to depart."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَدْرِي مَنْ مَعَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ؟، جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، وَقَدْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know who is with us in the house? It is Jibril (peace be upon him), and he has sent you his greetings of peace."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عنْ عَمْرِو بنِ الْحَارِثِ، عنْ يَزِيدَ بنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عنْ عُمَرَ بنِ الْوَلِيدِ، عنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: كُنْتُ يَوْمًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَقَالَ: «تَدْرُونَ مَنْ مَعَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ؟» ، قُلْتُ: مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟، قَالَ: «جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ» ، قُلْتُ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّهُ رَدَّ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: One day I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in his house (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know who is with us in the house?" I said: Who, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril (peace be upon him)." I said: As-salamu alayka ya Jibril wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you, O Jibril, and the mercy of Allah). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has returned your greeting."
