حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدِّدُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُعْطِيتُ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي: نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرِ شَهْرٍ، وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى كُلِّ أَبْيَضَ وَأَسْوَدَ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ، وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ طَهُورًا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given four things that were not given to any prophet before me: I have been helped by awe (cast into the hearts of the enemy) from a month's journey away; I have been sent to every white and black person; the spoils of war have been made lawful for me; and the whole earth has been made a means of purification for me (and a place of prayer)."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أَنْفَقَ نَفَقَةً عَلَى نَفْسِهِ فَهِيَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَعَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَعَلَى وَلَدِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever a person spends on himself is charity for him, and likewise what he spends on his wife and on his children."
حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعُكْبَرِيُّ، ثنا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْغَلَابِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَالَّذِي يُخْفِي الْقُرْآنَ كَالَّذِي يُخْفِي الصَّدَقَةَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who recites the Qur'an aloud is like the one who gives charity openly, and the one who recites the Qur'an quietly is like the one who gives charity secretly."
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَاجِبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْفَرَّاءُ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَتْ غَزْوَةُ خَيْبَرَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّا مُصَبِّحُوهُمْ، فَاضْطَرُّوا وَتَقَوَّوْا»
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the time of the Battle of Khaybar came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We will fall upon them in the morning, so lighten (your provisions) and gather your strength."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ثَلَاثَةٌ فِي ظِلِّ اللهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ: رَجُلٌ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَ عَلِمَ أَنَّ اللهَ مَعَهُ، وَرَجُلٌ دَعَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى نَفْسِهَا فَتَرَكَهَا مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللهِ، وَرَجُلٌ أَحَبَّ بِجِلَالِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three people will be in the shade of Allah on the Day when there is no shade but His shade: a man who, wherever he turns, knows that Allah is with him; a man whom a woman invited to herself, but he left her out of fear of Allah; and a man who loved for the sake of the majesty of Allah."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَتَزَاوَرُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ عَلَى نُوقٍ عَلَيْهَا الْحَشَايَا، فَيَزُورُ أَهْلُ عِلِّيِّينَ مَنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُمْ، وَلَا يَزُورُ مَنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُمْ أَهْلَ عِلِّيِّينَ إِلَّا الْمُتَحَابِّينَ فِي اللهِ، فَإِنَّهُمْ يَتَزَاوَرُونَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ شَاءُوا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will visit one another riding she-camels with cushioned saddles. The people of the high ranks (Illiyyin) will visit those below them, but those below them will not visit the people of the high ranks, except those who loved one another for the sake of Allah; they will visit one another wherever they wish in Paradise."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ دَايَنَ بِدَيْنٍ، وَفِي نَفْسِهِ وَفَاؤُهُ، فَمَاتَ تَجَاوَزَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَأَرْضَى غَرِيمَهُ بِمَا شَاءَ، وَمَنْ دَايَنَ بِدَيْنٍ، وَلَيْسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَفَاؤُهُ فَمَاتَ، اقْتَصَّ اللهُ لِغَرِيمِهِ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes a debt intending in his heart to repay it, and then dies, Allah will overlook (his debt) and will satisfy his creditor with whatever He wills. And whoever takes a debt with no intention in his heart to repay it, and then dies, Allah will take retribution from him for his creditor on the Day of Resurrection."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: عَاقٌّ، وَمَنَّانٌ، وَمُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ، وَمُكَذِّبٌ بِقَدَرٍ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four people whom Allah will not look at (with mercy) on the Day of Resurrection: one who is disobedient to his parents, one who reminds others of his favours, one addicted to wine, and one who denies the divine decree."
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خُذُوا مِنَ الْعِبَادَةِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْأَمُ حَتَّى تَسْأَمُوا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take on as much worship as you are able to, for Allah does not grow weary until you grow weary."
