حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا: ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خُذُوا الْعِلْمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْفَدَ» . ثَلَاثًا، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَكَيْفَ يَنْفَدُ، وَفِينَا كِتَابُ اللهِ؟ فَغَضِبَ لَا يُغْضِبُهُ اللهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «ثَكِلَتْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ، أَلَمْ تَكُنِ التَّوْرَاةُ وَالْإِنْجِيلُ فِي بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يُغْنِ عَنْهُمْ شَيْئًا. إِنَّ ذَهَابَ الْعِلْمِ ذَهَابُ حَمَلَتِهِ» ثَلَاثًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Acquire knowledge before it runs out" (he said it three times). The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! How will it run out when the Book of Allah is among us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry (may Allah never make him angry), then said: "May your mothers be bereft of you! Did the Bani Isra'il not have the Torah and the Injil, yet they were of no use to them at all? Indeed, the departure of knowledge is the departure of its bearers (the people of knowledge)" (he said it three times).
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُجِيرُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some of the Muslims may grant protection (to the enemy) on behalf of the others."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يُجِيرُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any one man of the Muslims may grant protection (to the enemy) on their behalf."
