Abu Yahya Sulaym bin Amir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) say that during the Farewell Hajj the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding his she-camel al-Jad'a'. He (peace and blessings be upon him) had put his feet in the stirrups and was raising himself up to make the people hear, and he was saying: "Do you not hear?" raising his voice. A man from one of the groups of people said: "What do you enjoin upon us?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Worship your Lord, pray your five (prayers), fast your month, pay the zakah of your wealth, and obey those in authority over you; you will enter the Paradise of your Lord." Abu Yahya said: I said: "O Abu Umamah, about how old were you that day?" He said: "I was a young man of thirty, jostling the camels, until I made my way step by step close to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will admit seventy thousand of my Ummah into Paradise without reckoning." Yazid bin al-Akhnas al-Sulami said: "In your Ummah this number is no more than a blue fly among a swarm of flies!" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise, and with every thousand another seventy thousand, and three handfuls more."
The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, how wide is your Basin?" He said: "Like the distance between Aden and Oman, and even wider and wider," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand. "In it are two channels of gold and silver." Someone said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is its drink like?" He said: "Its drink is whiter than milk, sweeter in taste than honey, and more fragrant than musk."

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us after the Fajr prayer and said: "I have seen a dream which is true, so understand it. A man came to me and took hold of my hand, then made me follow him until he brought me to a rugged, high mountain. He said to me: 'Climb it.' I said: 'I am not able to.' He said: 'I will make it easy for you.' So each time I climbed, I would place my foot on a step, until we stood level on the top of the mountain. Then we went on, and we came upon men and women whose jaws (mouths) were torn open. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are those who say what they do not know.' Then we went on, and we came upon men and women whose eyes and ears were nailed. I asked: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are those who make their eyes see what they have not seen, and make their ears hear what they have not heard.' Then we went on, and we came upon women hung upside down by their heels, their heads facing downwards, with snakes biting their breasts. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are the women who withhold their milk from their children.' Then we went on, and we came upon men and women hung upside down by their heels, their heads downwards, licking at a little water and mud. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are those who break their fast before the time of their fast is complete.' Then we went on, and we came upon men and women who were the ugliest of all in appearance, the worst in clothing, and the foulest in smell, as if their smell were the smell of latrines. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are the fornicating men and the fornicating women.' Then we went on, and we came upon dead people, the most bloated and the foulest-smelling of all. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are the dead of the disbelievers.' Then we went on, and we saw smoke and heard screaming. I asked: 'What is this?' He said: 'This is Hell; leave it.' Then we went on, and we came upon men sleeping in the shade of trees. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'The dead of the Muslims.' Then we went on, and we came upon boys and girls playing between two rivers. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'The offspring of the believers.' Then we went on, and we came upon men who were the most handsome of all in face, the best in clothing, and the most fragrant in smell, as if their faces were (bright as) sheets of paper. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are the truthful (siddiqun), the martyrs and the righteous.' Then we went on, and we came upon three men drinking their wine and singing. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are Zayd bin Harithah, Ja'far and Ibn Rawahah.' I inclined towards them, and they said: 'It has reached you (too); it has reached you (too).' Then I raised my head, and I saw three men beneath the Throne. I asked: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are your father Ibrahim, Musa and Isa, and they are waiting for you; may Allah bless them all.'"
