It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Sa'ib bin Abi al-Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that before Islam he was a partner of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in trade. When the day of the Conquest of Makkah came, he came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Welcome to my brother and my partner, who neither disputes nor argues. O Sa'ib! The deeds you used to do in the Jahiliyyah were not accepted from you, but today they will be accepted from you." And he was one who maintained ties of kinship and was generous in lending.
