حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ ظِلِّ رَاحِلَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، أَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَدَّثَهُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: «رَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ , أَوْ غُدْوَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»
Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Wahb al-Khawlani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he was in the shade of the mount of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Farewell Hajj, or that a man narrated this to him from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), (that) he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "An evening journey in the path of Allah, or a morning journey, is better than the world and everything in it."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَادٍ السَّرْحِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي شِمْرٍ السَّبَائِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَأْتِي مِائَةٌ وَعَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَحَدٌ بَاقٍ»
Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Wahb al-Khawlani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A hundred (years) will not come while anyone remains on the surface of it (the earth)."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي شِمْرٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَأْتِي الْمِائَةُ وَعَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَحَدٌ بَاقٍ»
