Sayyiduna Salman bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him), who was probably from the tribe of Khuza'ah, narrates that he prayed and felt at ease, and it was as if the people found fault with him for that. At this he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O Bilal! Establish the prayer and give us rest."

Abdullah bin Muhammad Ibn al-Hanafiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I went with my father to a relative of ours by marriage from the tribe of Aslam, who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard him say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O Bilal! Give us rest through the prayer." I said: Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? At that he became angry, and turning to the people he began telling them that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man to one of the Arab tribes. When he reached them, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has ordered me to decide whatever I wish concerning your women. They said: We hear and obey the order of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And they sent a man to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: So-and-so came to us and said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had ordered him to decide whatever he wished concerning our women. If this is your order, we will hear and obey; and if it is not so, we wanted to inform you. At this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry, and he sent a man from the Ansar and said: "Go to so-and-so, kill him and burn him with fire." When the man reached him, he had already died and been buried, so he gave orders and his grave was dug open, then he burned him with fire. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire." Then he turned to me and said: Do you think that after this I would lie about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?
