حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا عُبَيْسُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ غَدَا إِلَى صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ أُعْطِيَ رُبُعَ الْإِيمَانِ، وَمَنْ غَدَا إِلَى السُّوقِ أُعْطِيَ رَايَةَ إِبْلِيسَ، وَهُوَ مَعَ أَوَّلِ مَنْ يَغْدُو وَآخِرِ مَنْ يَرُوحُ»
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever goes out early in the morning to the Fajr prayer is given a quarter of faith, and whoever goes out early in the morning to the market is given the banner of Iblis, and he is with the first to go out and the last to return."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَلَّافُ، ثنا عُبَيْسُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا، وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam began as something strange, and it will soon return to being strange."
