Sad bin Salamah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), martyred at the Battle of the Bridge of al-Madain in the year 15 AH

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ: «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ جِسْرِ الْمَدَائِنِ، مَعَ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ بْنِ زَعُورَاءَ، سَعْدُ بْنُ سَلَامَةَ»
Urwah relates that among the Ansar, then of Banu Abd al-Ashhal bin Za'ura', who were martyred with Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of the Bridge of al-Mada'in, the name of Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) is included.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ: «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْجِسْرِ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي زَعُورَاءَ، سَعْدُ بْنُ سَلَامَةَ»
Muhammad bin Ishaq said that among the Ansar who were martyred on the Day of the Bridge (al-Jisr), then from Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then from Banu Za'ura', is the name of Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him).
