Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Hadrami said: I heard Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr, and he read to me the hadith of Subay'ah that her husband had died; her husband was Sa'd bin Khawlah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sa'd bin Khawlah (may Allah be pleased with him) died in Makkah. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, while visiting Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) in his illness during the Farewell Hajj: "O Allah, complete for my Companions their emigration, and do not turn them back on their heels." But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) grieved for the unfortunate Sa'd bin Khawlah (may Allah be pleased with him), that he died in Makkah.
