حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ لَتَمَنَّى الثَّالِثُ، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ بَطْنَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) we used to recite: "If the son of Adam had two valleys of gold or silver, he would wish for a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not trim his moustache is not of us."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا مِنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ يُوسُفِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ ضُرَيْسٍ، ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، ثنا الزِّبْرِقَانُ السِّرَاجُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not trim his moustache is not of us."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا جَمِيلُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is not of us who does not trim his moustache."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أُسَيْدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بَزِيغٍ الْجَزَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَصْيَاغِيُّ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا أُصِيبَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَامَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ، إِلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ: أَفَعَلْتُمُوهَا أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «اللهُمَّ أَسْتَوْدِعُكَهُما وَصَالِحَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ» فَقِيلَ لِعُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ: إِنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقَالَ: ذَلِكَ شَيْخٌ قَدْ ذَهَبَ عَقْلُهُ "
Habib bin Yasar narrates: When Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) was martyred, Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up at the door of the mosque and said: Have you really done it? I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "O Allah! I entrust them both (Hasan and Husayn) and the righteous believers to You." Ubaydullah bin Ziyad was told that Zayd bin Arqam had said such and such, and he said: That is an old man whose mind has gone.
