حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، قَالَ: " قُلْتُ لِزَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ: يَا أَبَا عَامِرٍ "
Yahya bin Ja'dah narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Abu Amir!"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ، بِالرَّقَّةِ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةُ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَصْغَرَ نَاسًا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ مِنْهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Uhud the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (did not permit) some people (to take part in the fighting) on account of their young age, and among them was Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him).
