حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْغُدَانِيِّ، سَمِعَ الشَّعْبِيَّ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعَبْدِ الْآبِقِ: «لَا تُقْبَلُ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى مَوَالِيهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about the runaway slave: "No prayer of his will be accepted until he returns to his masters."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الشَّعْبِيُّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: «أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَبَقَ مِنْ مَوَالِيهِ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِمْ» قَالَ مَنْصُورٌ: قَدْ وَاللهِ قَالَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَكِنْ لَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُرْوَى عَنِّي "
Al-Sha'bi narrated that he heard Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "Any slave who runs away from his masters has committed disbelief until he returns to them." Mansur said: By Allah, he did narrate it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but I do not want it to be narrated from me (in that way, as a saying of the Prophet).
