حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَايِعْنِي وَاشْتَرِطْ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ فَبَسَطَ يَدَهُ فَبَايَعَهُ، فَقَالَ: «لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَنْصَحُ الْمُسْلِمَ، وَتُفَارِقُ الْكَافِرَ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, take my pledge and set the conditions for me, for you know best." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) extended his hand and took my pledge, and said: "Do not associate anything with Allah, establish the prayer, pay the zakah, act sincerely towards the Muslim, and separate yourself from the disbeliever."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَارُودِيُّ، ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ الْقُمِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رِبْعِيٍّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْسُطْ يَدَكَ أُبَايِعْكَ وَخُذْ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِالشَّرْطِ مِنِّي، قَالَ: «أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَنْصَحَ الْمُسْلِمَ، وَتُفَارِقَ الْمُشْرِكَ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, extend your hand so that I may pledge allegiance to you, and take conditions from me, for you know the conditions better than I do." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I take your pledge that you will not associate anything with Allah, that you will establish the prayer, pay the zakah, act sincerely towards the Muslim, and separate yourself from the polytheist."
