Hadith 2052

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ أَهْلَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَى يَرَاهُمْ مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلُ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا يُرَى الْكَوْكَبُ الدُّرِّيُّ فِي أُفُقِ السَّمَاءِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ مِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعِمَا»

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The people of the high ranks will be seen by those below them just as a shining star is seen on the horizon of the sky, and Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) are among them, and how excellent they are."

Hadith 2053

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «مِنْ خَلْفِهِ لِأَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَوْضِعِ الْخَاتَمِ فَلَمَّا نَظَرَ إِلَيَّ أَلْقَى رِدَاءَهُ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ»

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) so that I could see the place of the Seal of Prophethood. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me, he moved his cloak aside, and I saw it.

Hadith 2054

حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، ثنا خَالِدٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «يَقُومُ مِنْ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا» ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ وَسَأَلْتُ أَبِي مَا قَالَ؟ وَكَانَ أَقْرَبَ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي، فَقَالَ: «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "After me, twelve leaders (amirs) will come to power." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said something that I did not hear, so I asked the people and also asked my father what he (peace and blessings be upon him) had said, for he was closer to him than I was. He told me: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of them will be from Quraysh."

Hadith 2055

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلُّوَيْهِ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ لَنْ يَمْضِيَ وَلَنْ يَنْقَضِيَ حَتَّى يَنْقَضِيَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ، قُلْتُ لِأَبِي: مَا الَّذِي قَالَ؟ قَالَ: «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went with my father to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This matter will not come to an end until twelve caliphs have passed." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said something that I could not understand, so I asked my father: What did he (peace and blessings be upon him) say? He told me: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of them will be from Quraysh."

Hadith 2056

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُسْتَمْلِي، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثَنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ

A similar hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
