حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، «يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا، وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا، وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ»
Simak bin Harb says: I heard Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit between the two sermons on Friday and deliver the sermon standing. His (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer was moderate and his sermon was moderate, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite some verses of the Qur'an on the pulpit.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، «يَجْلِسُ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ حَسْنَاءَ»
Simak narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: When dawn broke, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would remain sitting in his place of prayer until the sun had risen well and beautifully.
