حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: لَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ بِالسُّوقِ فَسَأَلْتُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ أَيْنَ يُرِيدُ؟ قَالُوا: يَخُطُّ لِقَوْمِكَ مَسْجِدًا، فَرَجَعْتُ فَإِذَا قَوْمِي قِيَامٌ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا لَكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: «خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسْجِدًا وغَرَزَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ خَشَبَةً أَقَامَهَا فِيهَا»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Usamah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the market while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was with his Companions. I asked the Companions of the Messenger of Allah where he (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to go. They said: He is going to mark out a mosque for your people. So I went back and saw my people standing. I said: What is the matter with you? They said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) marked out a mosque for us and fixed a piece of wood upright in the direction of the qiblah."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى التَّيْمِيُّ، ثنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: ذَهَبْتُ السُّوقَ فَلَقِيتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُمْ: أَيْنَ يُرِيدُ؟ فَقَالُوا: يَخُطُّ لِقَوْمِكَ مَسْجِدًا فَرَجَعْتُ فَوَجَدْتُ قَوْمِي قِيَامًا فَقُلْتُ: مَا شَأْنُكُمْ؟ فَقَالُوا: «خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَسْجِدًا بِرِجْلِهِ وغَرَزَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ خَشَبَةً غَرَزَهَا فِيهِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Usamah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I went to the market and met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions. I asked them: Where does he (peace and blessings be upon him) intend to go? They said: He is going to mark out a mosque for your people. So I went back and saw my people standing. I said: What is the matter with you? They said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) marked out a mosque for us with his foot and fixed a piece of wood upright in the direction of the qiblah."
