حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا بَكَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السِّرِينِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى بِلَالٍ، فَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهُ صُبْرًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» فَقَالَ: تَمْرٌ أَدَّخِرُهُ، قَالَ: «وَيْحَكَ يَا بِلَالُ، أَوَمَا تَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ بُخَارٌ فِي النَّارِ؟ أَنْفِقْ يَا بِلَالُ، وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and found a heap of dates with him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this, O Bilal?" He replied: These are dates that I have stored up. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to you, O Bilal! Do you not fear that there will be smoke in the Fire because of it? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Owner of the Throne."
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ سَيْحَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَادَ بِلَالًا، فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُ صُبْرًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ؟» قَالَ: ادَّخَرْتُهُ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «أَمَا تَخْشَى أَنْ يُجْعَلَ لَكَ بُخَارٌ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ، أَنْفِقْ بِلَالُ، وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill, and he brought out a heap of dates. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this, O Bilal?" He replied: O Messenger of Allah! I have stored it for you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not fear that because of it smoke will be made for you in the fire of Hell? Spend, Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Owner of the Throne."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّاغَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى بِلَالٍ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
