حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عِشْرِينَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah when I was ten years old, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away I was twenty years old.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَلَدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: «خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I served the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten years.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ مُغَلِّسٍ، ثنا شَبِيبُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: «خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I served the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten years.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I served the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten years.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: «خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I served the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for seven years.
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ادْعُ اللهَ لِأَنَسٍ، فَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ، وَبَارِكْ لَهُ فِيهِ» ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: «فَلَقَدْ دَفَنْتُ مِنْ صُلْبِي سِوَى وَلَدِ وَلَدِي خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةً، وَإِنَّ أَرْضِي لَيُثْمِرُ فِي السَّنَةِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَمَا فِي الْبَلَدِ شَيْءٌ يُثْمِرُ مَرَّتَيْنِ غَيْرَهَا»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah for Anas. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, increase his wealth and his children, and bless him in it." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have buried one hundred and twenty-five of my own offspring from my loins, besides my grandchildren, and my land bears fruit twice a year, while no other land in this town bears fruit twice a year.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: «وَمَا عِلْمُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَأَنَسٍ بِأَحَادِيثِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَا غُلَامَيْنِ صَغِيرَيْنِ»
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: What knowledge did Abu Sa'id and Anas have of the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? They were merely two little boys.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا مَيْمُونٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَتْ لِي ذُؤَابَةٌ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمُدُّهَا وَيَأْخُذُ بِهَا»
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had a lock of hair (a forelock), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pull it and take hold of it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ: «خَدَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ» ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ: «دُلَّنِي عَلَى هَذَا الشَّيْخِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I began serving the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when I was eight years old. (The narrator) Yazid said: Hammad bin Salamah guided me to this shaykh (Abu Muhammad al-Thaqafi).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا شَرِيكُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: " غَسَّلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُ عَوْرَتَهُ، قُلْتُ لِبَنِيهِ: أَنْتُمْ أَحَقُّ بِغَسْلِ عَوْرَتِهِ، دُونَكُمْ فَاغْسِلُوهَا، فَجَعَلَ الَّذِي يَغْسِلُهَا عَلَى يَدِهِ خِرْقَةً وَعَلَيْهَا ثَوْبٌ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ الْعَوْرَةَ مِنْ تَحْتِ الثَّوْبِ "
Muhammad bin Sirin said: I washed Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) (for burial). When I reached his private parts, I said to his sons: You have more right to wash your father's private parts; wash them yourselves. So the one who washed them wrapped a cloth around his hand, and a cloth was lying over the private parts; then he washed the private parts from beneath the cloth.
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: «تُوُفِّيَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فَجُعِلَ فِي حَنُوطِهِ سُكَّةٌ، أَوْ سُكٌّ وَمِسْكَةٌ فِيهَا مِنْ عَرَقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Humayd said: When Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, there was placed in his hanut (the perfume applied to the deceased) sukk (a kind of perfume), or sukk and musk, in which there was (mixed) the sweat of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَزَّازُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا هَانِي بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: " آخِرُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَوْتًا بِالْكُوفَةِ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى، وَبِالْبَصْرَةِ: أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ "
Qatadah said: The last of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to die in Kufah was Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him), and in Basrah, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ، ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: «مَاتَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَتِسْعِينَ»
Al-Sari bin Yahya said: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the year 93 AH.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِشُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ: مَتَى مَاتَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ؟ فَقَالَ: «سَنَةَ تِسْعِينَ»
Jarir bin Hazim said: I asked Shu'ayb bin al-Habhab: When did Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) die? He said: In the year 90 AH.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا نُوحُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ خَالِدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: لَمَّا مَاتَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ مُوَرِّقٌ الْعِجْلِيُّ: «ذَهَبَ الْيَوْمَ نِصْفُ الْعِلْمِ» فَقِيلَ: وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ يَا أَبَا الْمُعْتَمِرِ؟ فَقَالَ: " كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَهْوَاءِ إِذَا خَالَفَنَا فِي الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قُلْنَا لَهُ: تَعَالَ إِلَى مَنْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ "
Qatadah said: When Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, Muwarriq al-Ijli said: "Today half of knowledge has gone." It was asked: O Abu al-Mu'tamir, how is that? He said: "When a man from the people of innovation differed with us about a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we would say to him: Come to the one who heard it from him (peace and blessings be upon him) himself."
