حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَدِينِيِّ فُسْتُقَةُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، عَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ، قَالَ: «كَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ طُوَالًا آدَمَ أَشْعَرَ»
Al-Waqidi said: Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) was tall, of brown complexion, and hairy.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَفْصٍ عَمْرَو بْنَ عَلِيٍّ يَقُولُ: «كَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ آدَمَ طُوَالًا أَشْعَرَ»
Amr bin Ali said: Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) was of brown complexion, tall, and hairy.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرَو بنَ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَدِمَ مِنَ الشَّامِ بَعْدَ مَا رَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَدْرٍ، فَكَلَّمَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَضَرَبَ لَهُ بِسَهْمِهِ، قَالَ: وَأَجْرِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ زَعَمُوا؟ قَالَ: «وَأَجْرُكَ»
Urwah said: Sa'id bin Zayd bin Amr bin Nufayl came back from Syria after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had returned from Badr, and he spoke to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about his share, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) allotted a share for him as well. He said: And the reward too, O Messenger of Allah, as people say? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And the reward too."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: قَدِمَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ مِنَ الشَّامِ بَعْدَ مَقْدِمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَدْرٍ، فَكَلَّمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَهْمِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ: «سَهْمُكَ» . قَالَ: فَأَجْرِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَأَجْرُكَ»
Ibn Shihab said: Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) came back from Syria after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had returned from Badr, and he spoke to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about his share, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "You will have your share." He said: And the reward too, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And the reward too."
