باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9971 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever is generous

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْبَزَّازُ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ الشَّدَّاخِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ وَسَّعَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ لَمْ يَزَلْ فِي سَعَةٍ سَائِرَ سَنَتِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is generous to his family on the day of Ashura will remain in abundance for the rest of the year."
