Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 997 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّحْوِيُّ الصُّورِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ أَرْطَأَةَ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنِ الْمُهَاصِرِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَسَدِ بْنِ كُرْزٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَسَدُ بْنَ كُرْزٍ، لَا تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِعَمَلٍ، وَلَكِنْ بِرَحْمَةِ اللهِ» قُلْتُ: وَلَا أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنَا، إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَلَافَانِي اللهُ - أَوْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ - مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ»
Sayyiduna Asad bin Kurz (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Asad bin Kurz! You will not enter Paradise because of your deeds, but rather you will enter by the mercy of Allah." I said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Not even I, unless Allah makes up for me with His mercy - or he said: unless Allah covers me with His mercy."
