حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَوْنٍ الزِّيَادِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ عَمَّ الرَّجُلِ صِنْوُ أَبِيهِ»
«وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَجَّلَ مِنَ الْعَبَّاسِ صَدَقَةَ عَامَيْنِ فِي عَامٍ»
«وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَجَّلَ مِنَ الْعَبَّاسِ صَدَقَةَ عَامَيْنِ فِي عَامٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man's paternal uncle is like his father."
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took two years' zakah from Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in advance, in a single year.
