حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «النَّعْيُ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Na'y (having a death announced publicly) is a practice of the Jahiliyyah."
