باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9935 — I was not with the Prophet ﷺ on the Night

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «لَمْ أَكُنْ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ، وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مَعَهُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "I was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn, and I wish that I had been with him (peace and blessings be upon him)."
