حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْبُرْجُلَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: انْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَتِهِ فَقَالَ: «ائْتِنِي بِشَيْءٍ، وَلَا تُقَرِّبْنِي عَظْمًا وَلَا رَجِيعًا» ، فَفَعَلْتُ، فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went off to relieve himself and said: "Bring me something, and do not bring me near a bone or dung." I did so, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, then prayed.
