حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: «لَا تَسْقُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ، وُلِدُوا عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، أَتَسْقُونَهُمْ مَا لَا يَحِلُّ لَهُمْ، إِثْمُهُمْ عَلَى مِنْ سَقَاهُمْ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ شِفَاءَكُمْ فِيمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not give your children (intoxicants) to drink; they were born upon the natural disposition (fitrah). Would you give them to drink what is not lawful for them? Their sin will be upon the one who gave it to them to drink, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not placed your cure in what He has made unlawful for you."
