Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9540 — Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud said: Whoever leaves

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: «مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ بِهِ، وَإِنْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ، إِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ»
A man said that Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever leaves a day of Ramadan unfasted without any concession will meet Allah in that state, even if he were to fast his whole life; if Allah wills He will forgive him, and if He wills He will punish him."
